Passport to eat, Ski Swap, Fall Hoedown, draught pizza fundraiser this weekend

16th edition of the Passport to Dining

Enjoy a delicious and fun evening of unlimited tastings to excite the palate from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, November 10 at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach for the 16th Annual Passport to Dining. The fundraiser will include 30 tasting stations including restaurants, caterers, breweries and wineries. While enjoying the tastings, guests can purchase raffle tickets and bid on silent auction items and packages.

The event requires advance purchase of tickets, which is $60 and includes unlimited and responsible tastings. The event is hosted by the North Tahoe Business Association, and a portion of the net proceeds will be donated to the Sierra Community House.

39th Annual Truckee Ski and Snowboard Exchange



Visit the Truckee Community Recreation Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 for a free ski swap for all ages of new and used winter gear. Join in the fun and research local bargains, and get a chance to have your questions answered by local ski shop and resort representatives.

Plus, there will be a silent auction featuring season passes, lift tickets, local gift cards and more. All proceeds from sales and silent auctions during the exchange will support Truckee’s youth sports programs, including Buddy Werner, Girls’ Softball, Youth Basketball and Youth Hockey.

Everyday Outlaw’s Fall Hoedown

Alibi Ale Works Truckee Public House welcomes Truckee’s favorite outlaws for a night of wild and rowdy fun at 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 at Everyday Outlaw’s Fall Hoedown. Tickets for this event are $10. The evening will feature old school country music and live beer throughout the show.

Everyday Outlaw was nominated for a Forte Award in 2017 for Best Reno/Tahoe Country Band, and produced hits like “This Ain’t No Love Song.”

Rubicon Pizza Company Fundraiser

Join the Rubicon Pizza Company for an evening of family fun on Thursday, November 10 from 5-8 p.m. for an epic pizza night to benefit Friends of the Truckee Library and its New Library and Cultural Center campaign.

Enjoy a pizza, pasta and salad buffet accompanied by live music, drink specials and raffle prizes for a suggested donation of $25 for adults and $15 for children.
