JetBlue’s ‘Swing for Good’ fundraising campaign returns with the launch of ‘Bid for Good’, collectively raising over $8 million for charity partners since 2008

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) today announced the successful return of its annual Swing for Good fundraising campaign and the launch of its Bid for Good online auction. Since its launch in 2008, the airline’s fundraising initiative has raised more than $8 million in total through its golf classic and online auctions to support and advance the list of organizations JetBlue non-profit. Proceeds from this year’s campaign will directly benefit World Central Cuisine and the JetBlue Foundation.

Nonprofit recipients of Swing for Good 2022 include:

World Central Cuisine, founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, is a non-profit organization that is the first on the front lines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with local solutions. By applying a rapid action model, leveraging local resources and adapting in real time, WCK has served more than 200 million nutritious meals around the world.

JetBlue and WCK have been constant partners; working together to provide meals and disaster relief across the airline’s network when needed. More recently, JetBlue and WCK joined forces to provide relief in Fort Myers Beach, due to the severe aftermath left by Hurricane Ian. JetBlue volunteers, alongside the WCK team, served hot meals to local residents and first responders, while assigning additional volunteers to support food preparation and distribution efforts at the WCK Field Kitchen.

By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of local restaurants, food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK serves comforting meals to disaster survivors quickly and efficiently, with the belief that good food provides not only food, but also comfort and hope. , especially in times of crisis.
