Auction items

The Women’s Resource Center grateful for the donation – The Durango Herald

The Women’s Resource Center was honored to be chosen as the recipient of the 2022 Columbine Classic Duet Golf. This annual invitational ladies’ golf tournament was held July 25-27 at Dalton Ranch Golf Club and Glacier Club.

The successful event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of Columbine Classic committee members Meri McGraw, Barb Smith, Kimberly Moreland, Susan Voorhees, Donna Flynn and Lucia Thompson.

Not only does the committee dedicate 100% of its time to putting on this fun yet challenging 100 women’s golf tournament, but it works diligently for months to gather silent and live auction items, with all proceeds benefiting the chosen non-profit organization and the Nick Turner Scholarship Fund which supports the Fort Lewis College women’s varsity golf team. The Women’s Resource Center was overwhelmed when it accepted this year’s tournament’s generous donation of $47,500!

We are sincerely grateful to the members of the committee, the women who participated in the tournament, the Dalton Ranch Golf Club, the Glacier Golf Club and all the people who volunteered and gave their time, effort and of their auction items for this event.

Money raised will support the services and programming WRC has provided for more than 35 years and help us continue our mission of advocating for the personal empowerment and economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in La Plata County.

With much gratitude,

The Women’s Resource Center
