Farm to Flanders – The Ultimate Gourmet Picnic on August 28 in Woodbury

Flanders is delighted to announce a special event, Farm to Flanders – The Ultimate Gourmet Picnic & Auction, will take place on Sunday August 28, 2022, on the beautiful grounds of its Van Vleck Farm & Nature Sanctuary in Woodbury.

All fans will enjoy a farm-inspired multi-course gourmet picnic prepared by renowned chefs and packaged in a reusable cooler bag, sponsored by New Morning Market, for you to keep! New this year, fans can choose to attend “Meet, Mingle & More” or “Picnic Your Way”.

Attendees of “Meet, Mingle & More” will be greeted with a champagne toast courtesy of Drakeley Real Estate when they gather at Flanders Sugar House from 4 p.m. on August 28. As guests savor hors d’oeuvres prepared on-site by the region’s most acclaimed chefs, they will enjoy listening to jazz music performed by the super band “Out of Orbit”. Additionally, Litchfield Distillery will mix signature cocktails and Reverie Brewing Co. will pour its craft beer.

‘Picnic Your Way’ attendees will be able to collect their multi-course meal at Flanders South Barn between 12:00 and 14:00 on 28 August. They are welcome to enjoy their meal in one of the seven preserves of Flanders or at home.

Chefs for this year’s event include coordinating chefs John Bourdeau of Owl Wine & Food Bar and Carlos Perez of @ the Corner Restaurant & Pub as well as Michael Bates-Walsh of 1754 House Inn & Restaurant, Dennis DeBellis of John’s Café, Derek Dugan of Lucas Local Oyster Bar, Matt Kirshner of Uncle Matt’s Bakery and Café, Ashley Nelson of Sweet Nelsons, Clark Neugold of The Foundry Kitchen & Tavern, Carole Peck of Good News Restaurant & Bar, Chris Prosperi of Metro Bis Restaurant, Karen Rotella and NVCC cooking students.
