  • Coffee and takeaway chain Greggs opens its first eco-friendly store. The new Northampton site will be used to test in-store sustainability initiatives, such as recycled flooring and eco-friendly ovens. Greggs aims to implement eco-friendly features in at least a quarter of its stores by 2025.

  • Equal Origins Hosts Bilingual Webinar on Gender Equity. A Journey to Greater Gender Equity in Latin America took place in English and Spanish. The webinar explored how the organization’s partners were able to implement gender equity programs in coffee growing communities.

  • First ever national coffee auction in Yemen will take place in August 2022. As part of a partnership between the Yemeni Cooperative Coffee Growers Union, the Yemeni Coffee Unity Organization, the Yemeni Coffee Exporters Association and the Mokha Institute, the nationwide auction will feature 28 lots . Registration for samples is open until August 15 and the auction will take place on August 31.
