SALINAS VALLEY – The Salinas Valley Fair scheduled the fair’s annual kick-off dinner, dance and auction Saturday inside the Orradre Building at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City.
“The theme for our upcoming fair is ‘Back in the Saddle’, so we’re celebrating by jumping right into our annual event that leads the fair each year,” said Lauren Hamilton, Acting CEO of Salinas Valley Fair.
The April 23 event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a hostless bar, followed by a King City Young Farmers steak dinner at 7 p.m. From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the Silent Auction will be open – filled with over 150 items to bid on. The live auction will begin at 8 p.m. with unique items.
Immediately following the live auction, the dancing portion of the evening will begin with music from Lipstick Revolver.
The aim of the fair’s annual launch is to raise funds through ticket sales, as well as the two auctions.
“We always have an impressive list of auction items, and this year is no exception,” said Frank Lopez, Chairman of the Board of Salinas Valley Fair. “We appreciate the donations made to run this auction and are grateful to those who attend to support the Salinas Valley Fair.”
The variety of auction items includes group dinners, private trips, tickets to sporting events and more.
Tickets are available at the Salinas Valley Fair Office, 625 Division St.; LA Hearne Co., 512 Metz Road; and directors of Salinas Valley Fair. The 2022 Salinas Valley Fair is scheduled for May 12-15.
