DuBois Area Clubs Raised Over $ 42,000 For Make-A-Wish | Connect FM | Local news radio

DuBois, Pennsylvania – Yesterday we received a massive influx of donations for our 28th annual Make a Wish, Light up a Child’s Life campaign, raising money for magical wishes for children with serious illnesses. Only the clubs in our area brought in over $ 42,000, which shows how much they have raised throughout the year!

The Polish Club and the Independent Political and Social Club each brought in $ 4,400, meaning they each provided the average cost of a wish for a child.

The Sandy Club brought two full wishes for $ 8,800 raised.

The Olympic Athletic Club grossed $ 25,251 this year.

Listen to the interview of the IP&S Club, the Polish Club and the Sandy Club with their donations.

George Murray, President of the Olympic Athletic Club, surprised Lacy Bair, Regional Director of Make-A-Wish, with the incredible amount they raised this year… over $ 25,000!

Thank you to all of our clubs and their members who have donated money throughout the year. It just goes to show that those dollars really add up!

A very special donation was also made by Brock Roy, a dream kid who himself raised $ 500 to give back so that other kids like him can see their dreams come true!

Our schools are also expected to report excellent donations, and our grand total continues to grow.

However, your donation is still essential to helping make these magical wishes come true, so keep listening and making your contributions throughout today and into tomorrow for our Make-A-Wish week!
