The Mercer Museum cocktails at the castle return on October 9

BOROUGH OF DOILESTOWN – The Mercer Museum’s annual Cocktails at the Castle fundraiser will be held rain or shine, 4 to 8 p.m., October 9, outside on the Mercer Museum grounds, 84 S. Pine St.

The annual fundraiser returns with a culinary feast accompanied by specialty cocktails and live music to entertain while dining. Proceeds will be used to fund education programs, exhibits and community initiatives at the Mercer Museum.

The ticket price includes reserved seating at a community table inside an open dining tent, dozens of culinary partner selections, craft cocktails, soft drinks, and live music. Tickets, which are limited, non-refundable, and non-transferable, cost $ 150 per person and $ 125 for members of the Bucks County Historical Society.

Guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be followed for the safety of all who attend the event.

The evening begins with a “Pine Street Stroll” cocktail with appetizers served by the staff of Jeffrey A. Miller Catering. Musicians Bronwyn Bird and Justin Nawn will play selections of guitar and nyckelharpa.

Local dining and dining partners offering selections of prepared dinner specialties include Chambers 19 Bistro & Bar; Empanada mom; Doylestown Edible Arrangements; The Lucky Cupcake Company; French pastries Le Macaron de Doylestown; McCaffrey Food Markets; Nothing Bundt Cake, Warrington; Stone chocolates; Sweet Victory gluten and dairy free treat. Craft cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks will be mixed to accompany the dinner.

The David Gustafson Band will play a selection of songs for an enjoyable dining experience.

Silent bidders will not be required to purchase tickets or attend the event. Bids on auctioned items can be placed virtually any time before 7:45 pm October 9th. Items sold at auction will be available for collection at the Mercer Museum.

Articles include a weeklong vacation to the island of Vieques in Puerto Rico; romantic getaway at the Joseph Ambler Inn; a private, catered dinner in the original Mercer Museum library; private behind-the-scenes tour of the Mercer Museum collections, 50-inch 4K Ultra HD smart TV; spirits gift baskets; brewery tours; golf outings; masterpieces; and family outings.
