Larned-based company plans to expand base in Pratt County with purchase

Chris and Jamie Froetschner of Carr Auction and Real Estate, Larned, are delighted to announce their intention to establish a physical presence in Pratt with the purchase of Sanders Real Estate. They hope this expansion will allow them to better serve the people of the region with their auctions and real estate needs.

“We look forward to bringing the Carr Auction brand to this community with this new branch,” said Chris Froetschner, adding that he and Jamie were excited to bridge the physical gap between Larned and Pratt.

“Pratt is a vibrant community with an ever-changing vibe that we look forward to being a part of,” said Jamie Froetschner. “We have observed the growth of the community and the way we do business is a perfect fit with the Pratt environment. “

Carr Auction will acquire the long-standing Sanders Real Estate Company, which is owned by Rich and Denise Sanders. Sanders sold the insurance portion of his business to Strong’s Insurance and approached the Froetschners about the real estate assets. The acquisition will retain both Rich and Denise Sanders and Jody Little as active agents for Carr Auction and Real Estate during the transition. Rich Sanders will also continue to offer licensed appraisal work for the Carr Auction brand. “Through discussions with Rich (Sanders), we have found a very similar corporate structure and philosophy, based on reputation and personal relationships, which leads to pride in their respective companies,” said Chris Froetschner .

The two companies were also built on the similar foundation of generational real estate. The Sanders agency, located at 100 S. Main at the intersection of US highways 54 and 281, which originally housed a Champlin gas station, began in 1945, with Rich taking over from his father Dale in 1979. .

“We are delighted that Chris and Jamie are acquiring our real estate business. Having a family with local roots and a vision much like ours will continue the dedication we’ve been striving for, ”said Sanders.

Carr Auction was established in 1965 by Larry and Marlene Carr and has continued under three generations of family ownership. Jim and Tammy Froetschner, the current owners, have owned and operated Carr Auction since 2000.

“Tammy and I are proud to see Chris and Jamie take this opportunity at the helm and continue to grow the Carr Auction brand by representing the Pratt location,” said Jim. Chris Froetschner brings 21 years of licensed real estate experience to the company and will act as a branch broker for the new Pratt location upon the transfer of ownership under the Carr Auction and Real Estate brand.

Chris’s wife Jamie (Schartz), also a licensed real estate agent, will focus on Pratt’s real estate needs. She said that Pratt has always held a special place in their family and that they look forward to expanding the existing relationships and relationships with the Pratt area.

“We are delighted to have a physical location that we believe will effectively bridge the gap between the brand recognition we have maintained and what we intend to build,” said Chris Froetschner. “Historically, we have always maintained a corporate presence within the Pratt County Area serving agricultural, personal and real estate needs. However, having a physical location will now provide our clients with a historic presence. really pushed to incorporate modern marketing, coupled with strong and transparent relationships. ”

Froetschner’s plan includes new signage and building updates, as well as website, social media and marketing changes, to instill a cohesive Carr Auction branding ahead of a formal ‘grand opening’ and a ribbon cut this fall.

“We are taking this transition head on, eager to shake hands, meet new faces and build trusting relationships in all of the categories of services we provide,” said Jamie.
