Nook Kitchen’s modern Italian menu consists of a variety of dishes, including new vegan, gluten-free options, and seasonal salads.
In addition to presenting Neapolitan-style pizzas, chef Art Garino leads the culinary team, which includes his 25-plus partner, Amber Cumming, who is one of the few “talented” pizza makers, according to a press release. .
Burrata, linguini and meatballs, rigatoni bolognese, chicken marsala, and an espresso-rubbed filet are added to the crowd. The new additions are grilled barramundi and popular vegan options such as vegan campanelle and vegan mushroom pizza, according to the release.
The menu is a collaboration between Vairo, Nicholas Winger, Director of Services and Managing Partner, and Garino’s culinary creativity.
“We’ve put a lot of effort into the new menu,” Garino, from Arizona, said in a prepared statement. “More new items, including vegan dishes, are doing very well. And, pizzas are always popular for us.
Garino has been at Nook Kitchen since its inception. His personal favorite on the new menu is Grilled Barramundi, which he calls a “perfect summer dish,” he added.
Among the “debuts” featured on the new menu are “fan favorite Brussels crisps and wood-fired olives; the novelties are a grilled artichoke, a burrata and a fried steak. “Greens”, a salad of grilled peaches and prosciutto is a seasonal hit; The panzanella or Italian “bread salad” is also popular among other salad options.
A drink program led by mixologist Gabe Chavez at Nook includes a menu of handcrafted house cocktails, as well as selected wines, including sparkling varieties and beers and more, according to the release.
