Fontaine’s virtual auction brings in over $ 20,000

Fontaine family – The real estate leader raised more than $ 20,000 during its annual auction. Half of the funds went to Lewiston resident Emersyn Rowles, pictured here, and the other half to Make-A-Wish Maine.

Fontaine Family – The Real Estate Leader’s Virtual Wish Auction premiered in the summer of 2014 as a virtual Facebook fundraising event to grant a wish for a critically ill Maine Wish child , according to a press release from the company. The organization has a location in Scarborough.

The Fontaine team has been involved in fundraising for Make-A-Wish Maine since 2009. At that time, they were participating in the Walk for Wishes. The first year of their Bid for Wishes auction consisted of just a handful of agents, but managed to collect 50 items, at 30 attendees, and raise just over $ 900.

Eight years later and in their 7th annual Bid for Wishes auction (the 2020 auction was canceled due to COVID), the team collected 282 items, had 299 attendees, and collected over 20 $ 000.

Half of the funds raised this year went to Lewiston resident Emersyn Rowles and the other half to Make-A-Wish Maine. The Fontaine family would like to thank the local businesses for all donations, the members of the Fontaine team who took the time out of their busy days to request donations and collect auction items, and all those who bid on articles to make the event a huge success, according to the statement. If you would like to donate an item for the 8th Annual Fountain for Wishes Auction scheduled for June 2022, please email [email protected]
